This week, AgroGalaxy — one of the giants of Brazilian agro retail — had its judicial recovery plan approved by more than 97% of creditors in a creditors' meeting. The decision represents a milestone for the company, which is now seeking to restructure itself in the face of significant financial challenges.
Our Insolvency area coordinator, Camila Crespi, who closely followed the process and represented some of the largest creditors in the Judicial Recovery, commented:
“The approval of the plan is an important milestone. It demonstrates that, even in a sector such as agribusiness, structured companies can benefit from judicial recovery as a legitimate tool to rebalance their finances and preserve their operations.”
Camila reinforces that, more than an emergency measure, judicial recovery can be a true strategic rebirth, when conducted with planning and responsibility.
