In an interview with the Agrotarde program on Canal Agromais, our Preventive Manager, Dr. Deisy Granado, explained the mandatory georeferencing for rural properties with up to 25 hectares.
According to her, the process is essential to correctly delimit properties and avoid land conflicts. Regularization occurs in two stages: first, a qualified professional performs georeferencing; then, the data must be sent to INCRA for certification, ensuring that there is no overlap with other registered properties and then it must be recorded in the land registry.
Deisy stressed that, regardless of size, all properties must comply with this requirement. The lack of georeferencing can make transfers, sales and financing difficult.
She also recommends starting the process as soon as possible, as demand at the registry offices and INCRA is expected to increase as the deadline approaches.
